Recently, the Air Quality Program published its inaugural Air Annual Review.

This review provides insights into all aspects of the Air Quality Program for 2021. Air quality can be a complex and confusing topic for many people. The 2021 Air Quality Annual Review: Process of Progress aims to break down the science, regulation, and vocabulary of air quality to ensure it is accessible for everyone.

In the publication, you’ll read about the various sections of the program and how they operate, our monitoring network and technology, how to get involved, our future goals, and more. Allegheny County has seen significant improvements in its air quality over the past few decades. There is still more work to be done and the Air Quality Program is focused on continuous air quality improvement.
