In conjunction with the Safe and Supportive Schools Program, on Friday, February 17th, the North Fayette Police Department read to Ms. Stalling’s and Ms. Bateman’s second grade classes at McKee Elementary. The students learned about Antarctica and polar bears.
The Safe and Supportive Schools Program was developed in 2016 to ensure that the schools in the West Allegheny School District are free from judgement, prejudice, and bias where students can learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment. The committee of school and community representatives work collaboratively toward this common goal.
